Mondex Corporation, a leader in research, advocacy, and restitution, is currently seeking a full-time Provenance Researcher based in Germany to add to its international team of historians, art provenance researchers and legal experts. Working together seamlessly, we help clients worldwide to recover works of art looted during The Holocaust era.

The Provenance Researcher would assist our team on various provenance research projects in Germany, regarding looted works of art and including conducting archival research, analysing archival materials, contributing to the maintenance and development of internal databases related to provenance research as well as scanning literature.

Required skills, qualifications and availability:
- MA in Art History (PhD preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written skills in German
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English (professional level)
- Reading skills in French is an asset
- Relevant experience in provenance research
- Relevant experience in archival and library research
- Broad knowledge of 15th to 20th century European art
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Very proficient computer skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lead and manage a team, including setting goals, providing direction, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Team player
- Available to travel for work mainly in Germany but also other locations in Europe
- Available 35-40 hours per week

This is a full-time free-lance/contractor opportunity, with guaranteed 35-40 hours per week.
We are offering 40-45 euros per hour based on experience, but negotiable.
We offer a minimum of paid 11 days off and participation in our Bonus Program after completion of one year term.
