Teaching Fellow in Medieval Art History

Applications are sought for a Teaching Fellow in Medieval Art History c.
1200-c. 1600 for the academic year 2007-8. The successful candidate will
be expected to deliver up to 300 hours teaching at sub-honours, honours
and postgraduate levels, including lectures and tutorials on the level two
course Romanesque to Renaissance: Virgin to Venus. An interest in gender
history might be an advantage.

Candidates must either hold, or be close to completing, an appropriate
doctorate in art history and should have previous experience in teaching
and research at university level. The ability to demonstrate excellence in
presentation, leading discussions is essential, as is a willingness to
undertake the administrative duties required to ensure the smooth running
of history courses and the delivery of history programmes. Ideally
candidates will also have a strong research and publication profile and an
enthusiasm for teaching students.
