For the third consecutive year, the Radboud Institute for Culture & History (RICH) at Radboud University Nijmegen hosts the hybrid lecture series 'Art Histories in Dialogue.'
This year's theme is 'Art and Earth’.
The series offers an informal platform for students, scholars, and enthusiasts to engage in conversations on current topics, recent research, and substantive challenges.
The sessions have a 'tandem format': two art historians from different fields will each present for 15 minutes before participating in the moderated discussion with the audience about a shared theme. As such, we aim to create a platform for genuine intellectual exchange and thinking on the spot, but also to trigger participants to change their perspectives and think outside the box.
With this year's theme, Art and Earth, we provide a transhistorical dialogue that explores the intersections of art, history, ecologies, non-human animals, climate change, decoloniality, globalisation, and transcultural exchange.
