'Bilderfahrzeuge'. On the Migration of Images, Forms, and Ideas.
Annual Conference of the International Research Group 'Bilderfahrzeuge' at the Warburg Institute, London

This conference takes up the question of migration of images, forms, and ideas, accessing the metaphor "Bilderfahrzeuge", coined by the cultural theorist Aby Warburg (1866-1929). It is the first major opportunity for the international reserach group 'Bilderfahrzeuge. Aby Warburg's Legacy and the Future of Iconology' (www.bilderfahrzeuge.org) to introduce itself to a wider public and invite broad academic dialogue. Carefully-chosen external speakers will present alongside the group's own members, to offer an insight into how the dynamic of individual research projects contribute to this larger question.
