2015 Summer Institute in Technical Art History For Doctoral Students in Art History

The Summer Institute in Technical Art History will provide a general introduction to technical art history through lectures, close examination of works of art and visits to conservation laboratories and museum galleries, as well as hands-on studio activities. This year's focus is Material Movement:
Global Artistic Interdependencies and Exchanges.
Through the generous support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, students will receive housing at New York University's dormitories as well as a stipend of $1300 to help defray travel and other costs. Doctoral candidates in North American art history departments are eligible, and encouraged, to apply.
