Lectureship in Contemporary Art/Art After 1945
The School of Philosophy and Art History

(Ref.ACR957) The School of Philosophy and Art History at the University of Essex invites applications for the post of Lecturer, with eligibility for permanency of employment, in the area of Contemporary Art/Art After 1945. The postholder will be expected to carry out a vigorous programme of independent research, to contribute to teaching activities within the School, and to participate in the usual range of administrative duties. Essential qualifications include: a PhD (or one awaiting examination) in Art History or a related discipline, or professional experience; evidence of research excellence; experience of teaching in a higher education environment or the demonstrable potential to achieve this. Start date: 1 September, 2013; the postholder must be available to take up the duties of the post with effect from the Autumn Term.

Salary: £37,382-£44,607 per annum
