Founded in 1973, Rassegna di Studi e di Notizie is the journal of the Museums and Institutes housed in the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, home to masterpieces by Mantegna, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Canaletto. These include the Museum of Ancient Art, the Pinacoteca, the Museums of Decorative Arts and Musical Instruments, the Numismatic and Medal Cabinet, the Drawings Cabinet, the “Achille Bertarelli” Print Collection, and the Photographic Archive.
This call for proposals invites scholars and researchers to submit original contributions focusing on the Castello Sforzesco or the artworks preserved in its collections.
Submissions may examine and discuss one or more objects, potentially within a broader comparative or interdisciplinary framework. We welcome studies on artists, new attributions, iconography, collecting history, as well as research related to conservation and restoration, all contributing to a deeper appreciation of the extraordinarily rich heritage housed in the Castello Sforzesco.
