Zwei Institutionen aus unterschiedlichen Kulturregionen und mit gemeinsamer Grundlage und Zielsetzung – das Centro internazionale di studi di architettura Andrea Palladio, Vicenza, und die Stiftung Bibliothek Werner Oechslin, Einsiedeln, – haben sich zur Initiative TABLINUM zusammengeschlossen, um das besondere Interesse an vertiefter Forschung, insbesondere der Quellenforschung (der beste Weg für unsere Forschung) durch die Gewährung von Stipendien zu fördern. Das Besondere dieser Initiative liegt in der Empfehlung und in der ausdrücklichen Ermöglichung, beide Institutionen mit deren unterschiedlichen Ausrichtungen und Schwerpunkten kennen zu lernen und zu nutzen. Ziel des Stipendiums ist die Entwicklung eines geisteswissenschaftlichen Forschungsprojektes, an dem beide Einrichtungen beteiligt sind, idealiter mit einem Aufenthalt in beiden Institutionen.

Das von den beiden Institutionen finanzierte Stipendium deckt die folgenden Kosten für jeden Standort;
– Unterkunft
– Versicherung
– Zugang zur Bibliothek
– Arbeitsplatz (Scanner, Fotokopierer, Wifi)
– Reisen zwischen den beiden Institutionen (Je nach Verfügbarkeit von Mitteln kann ein Zuschuss auch für die Reisekosten vom Wohnort zu einer der Institution gewährleistet werden)
– Stipendium in Höhe von 2000 Euro/Monat (Italien), 2000 CHF/Monat (Schweiz)

Das Stipendium wird unabhängig von der Nationalität vorzugsweise an Forscher vergeben, die nach dem 1. Januar 1984 geboren sind. Die Auswahl erfolgt auf der Grundlage des eingereichten Forschungsprojektes, des Lebenslaufes und der Empfehlungsschreiben. Das Stipendium kann für einen Zeitraum von mindestens einem Monat und höchstens drei Monaten ab September 2024 in Anspruch genommen werden. Andere Optionen, auch für frühere Zeiträume, sind möglich, wenn sie durch das Forschungsprojekt gerechtfertigt sind. Two institutions with different cultural backgrounds but shared fundamental principles and objectives – the Centro internazionale di studi di architettura Andrea Palladio, Vicenza and the Stiftung Bibliothek Werner Oechslin, Einsiedeln – have joined forces to launch the TABLINUM initiative. The aim is to promote greater interest in rigorous research, in particular conducted on historical sources (i.e. the key tool in humanistic research), by offering fellowships. The distinctive feature of the TABLINUM fellowships is that they provide the opportunity to get to know and benefit from both institutions, each with its own specific orientation and strengths. The fellowship is therefore for the purpose of developing a research project in the humanities involving the two institutions, possibly with a stay in both.

The fellowship, financed by the two institutions, covers the following costs for each institution:
— Accommodation
— Insurance
— Library access
— Workstation (scanner, photocopier, WiFi)
— Travel between the two institutions (Depending on the availability of funds, the grant may also contribute to travel expenses from/to the place of residence)
— Payment of 2,000 euros a month (Italy)/2,000 CHF a month (Switzerland)

The fellowship is addressed to researchers of any nationality preferably born after 1 January 1984. Selection is made on the basis of the submitted research project, curriculum vitae and recommendation letter(s). The first fellowship will have a duration of a minimum 1 month and a maximum 3 months starting in September 2024. Proposals from other periods, including earlier ones, and of different duration by applicants will be evaluated, if justified by the research project.
