An der Historisch-Kulturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Wien ist eine Universitätsprofessur für Kunstgeschichte des Mittelalters zu besetzen.

Die Position:
Die Ausschreibung richtet sich an Kunsthistoriker:innen mit Forschungsinteressen an verschiedenen Themen und Medien des Europäischen Mittelalters. Erfolgreiche Bewerber:innen weisen sich durch methodisch reflektierte Arbeitsweise sowie innovative, thematisch und zeitlich vielfältige Forschungen aus. Erwartet wird die Bereitschaft, die zeitliche und regionale Vielfalt der europäischen Kunst des Mittelalters auf allen Stufen der Lehre (BA, MA, Doktorat) zu vertreten. Erwartet wird ferner die Beteiligung an bestehenden Forschungsschwerpunkten der Historisch-Kulturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät, insbesondere am Forschungsschwerpunkt "Visuelle Kulturgeschichte - Kulturen und Medien des Visuellen" sowie an der Doctoral School der Historisch-Kulturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät.

- Doktorat/PhD
- Herausragende Forschungsleistungen, exzellente Publikationen, Erfolge bei Drittmittelprojekten, internationale Reputation
- Nachgewiesene Führungsqualitäten
- Erfahrung in der Konzeption und Leitung großer Forschungsprojekte
- Begeisterung für exzellente Lehre und Betreuung auf Bachelor-, Master- und Doktoratsebene
- Bereitschaft zur Übernahme organisatorischer und administrativer Aufgaben innerhalb der Fakultät und/oder der Universität

At the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies, the University of Vienna seeks to appoint a Full Professor of Medieval Art History

The position:
The call addresses art historians with research interests in various topics and media of the European Middle Ages. Successful applicants will demonstrate a methodologically reflective approach to their work as well as innovative, thematically and temporally diverse research. We expect a willingness to teach European medieval art history's temporal and regional diversity at all levels (BA, MA, PhD). Participation in existing research foci of the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies is anticipated, especially in the research focus "Visual Cultural History - Cultures and Media of the Visual" as well as in the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies.
