Die im Jahr 2019 gegründete drittmittelfinanzierte Forschungsstelle Informelle Kunst am Kunsthistorischen Institut der Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn vergibt zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt ein Forschungsstipendium.

Das Stipendium steht für die Dauer von drei Monaten zur Verfügung. Die Höhe des Stipendiums beträgt 2.000 € monatlich. Das Stipendium dient den Reise- und Unterbringungskosten und der Unterstützung der Lebenshaltungskosten. Das Stipendium soll u. a. Archivreisen und Forschungsaufenthalte ermöglichen und richtet sich explizit an Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen ohne Anstellung an einer Forschungseinrichtung. Es soll dabei helfen, begonnene (interdisziplinäre) Projekte zum Thema Informel fortzuführen oder die Konzeption eines For-schungsprojektes zu finanzieren.

Forschungsbereich:
Gefördert werden Forschungsvorhaben, die sich mit der Kunst des Informel in all ihren Facetten befassen. Transnational vergleichende Perspektiven zum deutschen, europäischen oder außereuropäischen Informel, der japanischen Gutai-Gruppe oder des amerikanischen Action Painting sind ebenso denkbar wie gesellschafts- und kulturpolitische Forschungsansätze und übergeordnete Fragestellungen aus den Bereichen Rezeptionsgeschichte, Bildwissenschaft, Kunstmarktforschung, Sammlungs- und Museumsforschung.

Voraussetzungen:
Für die Bewerbung wird ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Magister, Master) in Kunstgeschichte vorausgesetzt.
Das Stipendium richtet sich an Absolvent*innen, die gerade an der Konzeption eines Promotionsprojektes arbeiten, und Promovierende, die bereits mit der Promotion begonnen haben oder bereits fortgeschrittene Projekte vorweisen können. Eine Anbindung des Forschungsprojektes an die Forschungsstelle, beispielsweise durch eine Betreuung des Promotionsvorhabens, wird angestrebt, ist aber keine Bedingung für die Vergabe. Es besteht keine Residenzpflicht in Bonn, aber eine aktive Beteiligung an den Aktivi-täten und Veranstaltungen der Forschungsstelle ist erwünscht.

Bewerbungen mit einem 8–10-seitigen Exposé des Promotionsvorhabens in deutscher oder englischer Sprache (Inhalt: Fragestellung, methodische Überlegungen, Forschungsstand, Arbeits- und Zeitplan, Literaturliste), Lebenslauf, Kopien der Abschlusszeugnisse, Angabe der Kontaktdaten zweier Referenzpersonen sowie Leseproben (max. 10 Seiten) sind elektronisch in einer einzigen PDF-Datei bis zum 31. Call for Applications | Three-month scholarship

The Research Center for Informal Art, founded in June 2019 at the Department of Art History at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn, is awarding a research scholarship for the next possible date.

The scholarship is available for a period of three months with an amount of € 2,000 per month. It is intended to cover travel and accommodation costs and to support living expenses. Among other things, the scholarship is intended to support archive trips and research stays and is explicitly aimed at young academics who are not employed at a research institution. It is intended to help continue (interdisciplinary) projects on the topic of Informal Art or to finance the conception of a research project.

Area of Research:
Funding is available for doctoral projects that deal with the Informal Art in all its facets. Transnational comparative perspectives on German, European or non-European Informal Art, the Japanese Gutai group or American Action Painting are just as conceivable as socio-political and cultural-political research approaches and overarching questions from the fields of reception history, image studies, art market research, collection and museum research.

Preconditions:
A university degree (Master’s degree) in art history is required for the application.
The scholarship is aimed at graduates who are currently working on the conception of a doctoral project and doctoral students who have already begun their doctorate or can already present advanced projects.
A connection of the research project to the Research Center for Informal Art, for example through supervision of the doctoral project, is desired, but is not a condition to get the grant. There is no obligation to reside in Bonn, but an active participation in the activities and events of the Research Center is desired.

Applications with an 8–10 page synopsis of the research project in German or English (content: research question, methodological considerations, current state of research, work and time schedule, bibliography), curriculum vitae, copies of degree certificates, contact details of two references as well as reading samples (max. 10 pages) should be sent electronically in a single PDF file to the secretary’s office of Prof. Dr. Christoph Zuschlag by 31 October 2023 under the keyword "Forschungsstipendium Informel": Mrs Britta von der Gönna (bgoenna@uni-bonn.de).

Appel à candidature | Bourse de recherche de trois mois

Le Centre de Recherches sur l'art informel de l'Institut d'histoire de l'art de la Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, fondé en 2019 et financé par des fonds de tiers, offre une bourse de recherche dès que possible.

La bourse d’un montant de 2.000 € mensuel est disponible pour une période de trois mois. La subvention couvre les frais de déplacement et d'hébergement et prend en charge les frais de subsistance. La bourse sert au soutien des voyages d'archives et des séjours de recherche et s'adresse expressément aux jeunes chercheuses et chercheurs sans emploi ou engagement. La bourse permet de poursuivre des projets (interdisciplinaires) dans le domaine de l'art informel ou de financer la conception d'un projet de recherche dans ce domaine.

Sujet :
Les projets de thèse traitant de l'art informel sous toutes ses facettes sont encouragés. Des perspectives comparatives transnationales sur l'art informel allemand, européen ou non européen, le mouvement japonais Gutai ou l'Action Painting américain sont tout aussi possibles que des approches de recherche socio-politiques et culturelles et des questions d'ordre supérieur dans les domaines de l'histoire de la réception, de la science des images, de la recherche sur le marché de l'art, de la recherche sur les collections et les musées.

Conditions de candidature :
Un diplôme universitaire (Magister, master, maîtrise) en histoire de l'art est requis pour la candidature.
La bourse s'adresse aux diplômé.e.s qui travaillent actuellement à la conception d'un projet de doctorat et aux doctorant.e.s qui ont déjà commencé leur doctorat ou se trouvant dans un stade avancé de leur doctorat.
Une affiliation du projet de recherche au Centre de Recherches, en forme de supervision du projet de thèse par exemple, est envisageable, mais n'est pas obligatoire pour l'attribution de la bourse. Il n'y a pas d'obligation de résidence à Bonn, mais une participation active aux événements et activités du Centre de Recherches est souhaitable.

Le dossier de candidature doit être composé d’un projet de recherche (8 à 10 pages, en allemand ou anglais, contenant : le contexte, la problématique et sa justification, les objectifs, la méthodologie, le calendrier de réalisation, les références bibliographiques), d’un CV, d’une copie du diplôme de master/maîtrise ou de l’attestation de réussite, noms et coordonnées de deux personnes de références, échantillons de lecture (max. 10 pages).
