Prof History of Architecture & Urbanism (Berlin)

Full Professor for the History of Architecture and Urbanism (W3)

The Institute of Art and Visual History at the Humboldt-Universität of
Berlin is seeking to appoint an experienced scholar in the history of
architecture and urbanism to a full professorship, commencing on 1
October 2011 (or an alternative date to be agreed upon).

The successful candidate should be interested in engaging current
discourses in the study of culture and theory, have experience with
interdisciplinary inquiry, and demonstrate the willingness to work with
the other subject fields at the Institute as well as with other academic
institutions in Berlin and Brandenburg. The applicant should show a
particular commitment to teaching, academic service, and research
initiatives within the university.

International candidates are especially encouraged to apply. The
Humboldt University is making a sustained effort to enhance the number
