The Cluster of Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context" is
organizing the public lecture series "Multi-Centred Modernisms -
Reconfiguring Asian Art of the Twentieth and Twenty First Centuries"
beginning Monday, 19th April 2010 at the Karl-Jaspers-Centre of
Heidelberg University, Germany. All lectures will take place on Mondays
from 6-8 pm in room 212.

(NC)): Reinscribing Tradition in a Transnational Art World: Asian Art in

5th July 2010, lecture by Stanley Abe (Duke University, Durham (NC)):
"Locating World Art"
19th July 2010, Panel Discussion: "Institutions, Markets, Publics -
contemporary art practice in Asia and Europe"; beginning at 8 pm at the
Deutsch-Amerikanisches Institut Heidelberg, Sofienstraße 12, 69115

Germany), Uli Sigg (Swiss collector of Chinese contemporary art,
Sursee), Ranjit Hoskote (writer, journalist, curator; Mumbai), Bernice

Pooja Sood (Director of the Khoj International Artists' Workshop, New
Delhi).
