On May, 13th 2008 within a few hours the van den Broek and Bakema (1970)
building of the Faculty of Architecture of Delft University of Technology
burnt completely down and is at present being demolished.

IHAAU, the Institute of History of Art, Architecture and Urbanism, lost
more than 600 running metres of books (about 5.000 volumes), research
archives, journals, its collection of historical photographs as well as
about 40.000 slides.

We would be deeply grateful, if you could see possibilities of lending a
helping hand in the reconstruction of IHAAU by donating books and journals
or even financial means to reestablish one of the largest and oldest
research centres of the history of art, architecture and town planning in
the Netherlands as well as a teaching centre for thousands of students of
architecture annually.

Am 13. Mai 2008 ist das Gebäude der Architekturfakultät der TU Delft
abgebrannt. Das IHAAU, Institute of History of Art, Architecture and
Urbanism, hat mehr als 600 laufende Meter Bücher (ca. 5000),
Forschungsarchive, Zeitschriften, historische Fotosammlungen, sowie ca.
40.000 Dias verloren.

Wir wären Ihnen dankbar, wenn Sie uns beim Wiederaufbau des IHAAU der
