Call for Session Proposals

The Pacific Arts Association (PAA) PAA welcomes session proposals for
presentation at the College Art Association (CAA) Annual Conference in
Chicago from February 10-13, 2010. The deadline is August 15, 2008.

PAA is an international organization devoted to the study of all the arts of
Oceania and provides a forum for dialogue ogue and awareness about Pacific
art and culture. As an Affiliate Society of CAA, PAA encourages greater
cooperation among those who are involved with the creation, study, and
exhibition of Pacific art.

Session proposals can cover the breadth of current thought, practice and
research in Pacific art, architecture, theory and criticism, pedagogy,
museum and curatorial practice, conservation, and developments in
technology. Sessions will be chosen on the basis of its relevance and
interest to PAA and its constituency.

Prospective session chairs are encouraged to familiarize themselves with PAA
via www.pacificarts.org and to also familiarize themselves with the CAA
proposal submission process at
http://www.collegeart.org/news/chicago_cof_session0508 in the event that PAA
selects their proposal.
