JUNIOR PROFESSORSHIP IN ART HISTORY (W1)

The Department of History of Art at the Humboldt-Universität of Berlin is
seeking to appoint a leading scholar in the history of design and material
culture to a junior professorship. The position offered is for 3 years in
the first instance, commencing on 1 October 2008 (or an alternative date to
be agreed), with the possibility of an extension for a further 3 years.

The postholder will undertake independent research, teach (4 hours per week
before evaluation, 6 hours after the extension of the contract) and make
appropriate contribution to the successful running of the Department.
Applicants will have a Ph.D. in the history of design and material culture
and an excellent publications list.
