You are invited for a full-time Research Assistant on the AHRC-funded
project: Wyndham Lewis's Art Criticism in The Listener, 1946-1951: Postwar
British Art in its Context of Ideas, Institutions, and Practice
(AH/FO11199/1). The project will result in a 40,000-word online edition of
Lewis’s text, together with a critical commentary and image resource.
A first degree or equivalent, in Art History is required, together with a
knowledge of twentieth-century British and European Modernism. You should
be capable of using established software to produce web pages, under the
supervision of the Co-Investigator, who will provide instruction and
support where necessary.

You are invited for a university Scholarship in Art History (maintenance
grant of £12940 pa and all tuition fees) starting in October 2008. We
welcome proposals whose research topics engage with aspects of the history
of art and visual culture from the eighteenth century to the present,
including museological research, the Western appropriation of World
Cultures, and art theory.
You are expected to have a good honours degree in a relevant subject,
together with a MA/MRes or equivalent research experience.
