We are seeking to appoint an experienced scholar to teach postgraduate and
undergraduate courses in art history (Renaissance through nineteenth
century) and to assist in the delivery of the Art History Graduate programs,
which are offered in collaboration with the Art Gallery of South Australia.
The area of research specialisation is open, although the successful
candidate will have interests and publications that are cognate with
existing strengths in the Discipline of History. You will also need to
demonstrate the capacity to liaise effectively with the Art Gallery of South
Australia and may be expected to contribute to the teaching of the
Discipline of History's undergraduate courses.
You should have:
· a PhD in Art History or a closely related discipline (e.g. History,
or Visual Studies/Culture)
· a strong record of research and publications in the form of
monograph (s) and/or articles in refereed journals
· evidence of teaching experience and a demonstrated ability to
communicate positively and effectively with students
Salary: Lecturer (Level B) Dollar 64,757 - 76,900 per annum.
An employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.
This tenurable position is available from June 2008.
