Columbia University in the City of New York, Department of Art History and
Archaeology, Assistant
Professor, full time, tenure track, Ph.D. required. We are seeking a scholar of
African art
interested in teaching the subject as it is broadly delineated today. Without
being limited to
these, teaching would include traditional art from the pre-colonial to the
present, architecture,
archaeology, and contemporary rural, urban and international art, including
photography.
