Ausschreibung: Panofsky-Fellowship in Verbindung mit der Panofsky-Professur am Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte München

2017 wird Gauvin Alexander Bailey, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, mit der Panofsky-Professur am Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte ausgezeichnet.
In Verbindung damit schreibt das Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte ein Panofsky-Fellowship aus. Das Fellowship richtet sich an Promovierende und Post-Docs (bis fünf Jahre nach der Promotion), die an einem Forschungsvorhaben zum Thema „Kontaktzonen: Europäische Kunst der Frühen Neuzeit und ihre internationale Verbreitung“ arbeiten.
Erwartet wird Präsenz vor Ort, eine Vorstellung des Themas und Mitarbeit an den Aktivitäten des Zentralinstituts für Kunstgeschichte und des Instituts für Kunstgeschichte der LMU.
Das Stipendium hat eine Laufzeit von drei Monaten und sollte zum 1. April oder 1. Mai 2017 angetreten werden. Die Höhe des Stipendiums beträgt für DoktorandInnen monatlich 2.000 EUR, für Post-Docs 2.500 EUR; an BewerberInnen aus dem Ausland kann ein einmaliger Reisekostenzuschuss gezahlt werden.

Call for Applications: Panofsky-Fellowship in connection with the Panofsky-Professorship at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich
Gauvin Alexander Bailey, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, will hold the Panofsky Professorship at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich in May and June 2017. In connection with this professorship the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte seeks applications for a Panofsky Fellowship.
The fellowship is intended for doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars (who have graduated within the last five years) who are working on a project related to “Contact Zones: Early Modern European Art and Its International Diffusion”. Fellows are expected to maintain a presence at the ZI, to present the Fellowship project, and to partake in the activities of the ZI and the Institut für Kunstgeschichte of the LMU. The fellowship lasts three months and commences either in April or in May 2017. Graduate fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 2000 Euros. Postgraduate fellows will receive 2500 Euros per month. In addition, it will be possible for non-residents of Germany to take advantage of a one-time travel subvention.
