We are publicizing our call for applications for the Menil Drawing Institute Pre-Doctoral Fellowship for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a nine-month long fellowship intended for doctoral students whose research focuses on or is related to the drawing medium. Applications are due December 15, 2025.

Our residential fellowship program is an integral part of the Drawing Institute’s mission as a major research center on modern and contemporary drawing. The program fosters the highest level of scholarship and makes possible rich, interdisciplinary, object-based conversations on the drawing medium’s history, theory, criticism, and practice.
