Undergraduate Art History Symposium (Orange CA, 26 Apr 13)

Chapman University, Orange CA, Apr 26, 2013
Deadline: Jan 15, 2013

Wendy Salmond, Chapman University

This non-thematic symposium offers a forum in which undergraduate art history students may present and share their papers. Students from other disciplines who are interested in presenting research focused on visual material are also welcome to submit their papers. The symposium is designed to offer students an opportunity to experience the professional format of conferences in our discipline to better prepare them for graduate school. Submissions will be peer-reviewed by Chapman Art History Seniors under faculty supervision. Students whose papers are chosen will be informed by the end of February and invited to present their work at a one day symposium at Chapman University.

Keynote speaker TBA.

Submission Guidelines:
Students may present papers that are either based on original research or present original research questions or re-contextualize objects, ideas and theory.

Presentations should not be longer than 20 minutes.

Papers submitted should not be longer than 10 pages, accompanied by footnotes and images.

Please mail your submissions to Dr. Wendy Salmond, Department of Art, Chapman University, One University Drive, Orange, CA 92866.
