Bojana Radovanović

Dear Colleagues,

The INSAM Journal of Contemporary Music, Art and Technology Editorial Team is excited to invite you to collaborate on our thirteenth issue (II/2024). The main theme of this issue is "New Technologies and Social Media in Art and Music Pedagogy".

After several issues of our journal dedicated to themes of art and music on social media and new technologies in art in general, we are finally turning to the subject of contemporary art and music pedagogy with the same focus. Namely, we are eager to explore with our collaborators the ways in which music and art pedagogy today are developing considering social media and new technologies.
It is a common presumption that traditional schools face difficulties trying to keep up with technological developments, let alone in the last several decades. This issue becomes even more distinct when the pedagogy of subjects such as music and visual arts is discussed. Not only is the current discourse insistent that art-related jobs are endangered due to the rapid development of AI, but the toolsets for many of these professions are also rapidly changing. With this as a starting point, we invite you to discuss topics that include (and are not limited to) the following areas:

- Use of New Technologies in Music and Art Pedagogy;
- Use of Social Media in Music and Art Pedagogy;
- Use of AI in Music and Art Pedagogy;
- Art and Music Pedagogy and Robotics;
- New Tools in Music and Art Pedagogy;
- Experiments in the Music and Arts Curriculum;
- Changes in Music and Arts Curriculum due to New Technologies;
- Music and Art Pedagogy on Social Media.

INSAM Journal has four sections: The Main Theme, Beyond the Main Theme, Reviews, and Interviews. The main topic predefines only The Main Theme section; in other sections, we welcome your contributions related to contemporary art and media theory, artistic music, performing and visual arts, and technology.
This issue will be published in December 2024. For detailed information on manuscript preparation, see Authors Guidelines on our website – https://insamjournal.com/index.php/ij/about/submissions. Send your proposals (theme, short abstract and keywords) by July 1, 2024, to insam.journalgmail.com, and, if accepted, submit full papers by September 15, 2024, via our website – https://insamjournal.com/index.php/ij/about/submissions.

Looking forward to our cooperation,

Dr. Bojana Radovanović, Editor-in-Chief
