The Department of Art & Design at East Tennessee State University is seeking to hire a tenure-track assistant professor of art history with a global approach to the discipline and a non-western area of specialization. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service, as well as a PhD in Art History (in hand by June 30, 2024), one year of experience as the instructor of record at the college or university level, and a record of research activities and strong research potential. Responsibilities will include teaching introductory survey and specialized global and non-western courses, student advising, research activity, and service assignments.
