- Open Access Excellence: Peristil is an open-access journal, that provides free and unrestricted access to a global audience. It has been a cornerstone of art historical scholarship for decades. All articles are available on the Portal of Croatian scientific and professional journals HRČAK https://hrcak.srce.hr/en/peristil under a CC BY 4.0 license. Peristil is indexed in international databases such as ERIH and EBSCO, as well as in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
- Peer Review Excellence: Every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous peer review process. We accept only previously unpublished manuscripts, ensuring the highest standards of academic integrity.
- Confidential Peer Review: The peer review process is confidential to uphold the integrity of the evaluation. The authors' and reviewers' identities remain anonymous throughout (double-blind peer review).
- Editorial Guidance: The Editorial Board makes the final decision on the category of your article, taking into account the peer review suggestions.
- Transparent Communication: Authors will receive detailed information about the peer review process, the assigned article category, and any suggested additions or corrections necessary for final manuscript acceptance.
- Timely Revisions: Authors are requested to follow the instructions of our reviewers and the Editorial Board, and to submit revised manuscripts within 20 days. This deadline is crucial for publication; manuscripts not received within this time frame cannot be considered for publication.
- Copyright Support: Authors are responsible for covering copyright expenses for illustrations, photographs, and architectural drawings from archives and other institutions to accompany their work.
- Technical Guidelines: Please ensure your manuscripts adhere to the technical instructions for a seamless publication process.
- No Article Processing Charges: We are proud to announce that Peristil does not charge any article processing fees, ensuring equitable access to scholarly publishing.

Author's Submission Guidelines:
- Submit the complete text of their contribution in a single .doc file (MS Word).
- Send the text via email to the editorial office (email address: dpuhinet.hr).
- Contributions up to the size of one author's sheet are accepted (equivalent to 16 pages or 28,800 characters with spaces). The editorial board reserves the right to publish texts larger than 16 pages.

The contribution should include:
- Title
- Author's name and author's affiliation, ORCID of the author
- Keywords (up to 6 subject headings)
- Abstract (up to 450 characters with spaces)
- Summary of the text in English for translation into a Croatian language (summary – up to 1 page or 1,800 characters with spaces).
- At the author's expense, the contributor can translate the abstract, summary, and keywords into another language, specifying a qualified translator.
- List of visual materials (with brief descriptions and indicated authorship)
- Visual materials (10 to 12 attachments) should be provided in electronic format (jpg or tiff format). High-resolution quality for printing. Illustrations must be labeled with the author's name and the sequential number as referenced in the text.
- List of references at the end of the text

Formatting of Submitted Text:
- The text must be clear and unambiguous.
- Page numbering, the use of different styles and font sizes, formatting of chapters, and similar elements should be avoided.
- Additional and supporting notes should be provided at the end of the text (endnotes) and marked with Arabic numerals.
- Years and centuries should be spelled out in full.
- Terms that are abbreviated should be written out in full the first time they appear, with the abbreviation to be used subsequently. For example, "Društvo povjesničara umjetnosti Hrvatske (hereafter: DPUH)." In subsequent appearances, only the abbreviation is used.

Citation Style:
