10th Annual Ards Conference: Beyond the Alps. Artistic Exchanges between the Low Countries and Italy in Medieval and Renaissance Sculpture.
The 10th Annual ARDS Colloquium, which promotes and celebrates new research in the field of medieval and Renaissance sculpture, will focus on the interaction and interplay between the Low Countries and Italy in medieval and Renaissance sculpture. The conference will take place in Rome, at the Academia Belgica and the Royal Netherlands Institute Rome (KNIR) from 7 November until 9 November 2023. The conference program consists of lectures, in combination with a choice of excursions.

Participation and registration
Participation to the ARDS conference is free of charge for all participants. However, registration beforehand is obligatory.
Coffee and tea breaks and lunches
On Tuesday 7 November 2023 and Wednesday 8 November 2023 coffee and tea breaks and lunches will be served at the conference location. This will be covered by M Leuven and ARDS for all participants.
Conference diner
On Tuesday 7 November 2023 a conference diner will be organised. Chairs and speakers are invited by M Leuven. Other participants can take part at their own expense, after registration and payment beforehand (price approx. € 65 all-in). If you have indicated on the registration form that you would like to join us, you will receive an invitation and payment instructions after your official registration.
Excursions
Participation to the ARDS excursions are free of charge for all participants. However, registration beforehand is obligatory. As you register online, you will be able to choose your preferred excursions.
