Opuscula historiae artium is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published biannually by the Art History Department, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. The journal has been published since 1996 and is included in SCOPUS and ERIH PLUS databases. It welcomes contributions on assorted subjects in the history of art and related disciplines. Articles may be written in English, German, Czech, Slovak or French.

We are also informing you that a new issue of the journal Opuscula historiae artium, no. 1-2/2022, has just been published. The special double issue is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Department's professor, Ivo Krsek (1922–1993). It contains 14 contributions to Baroque paintings and graphic art in English, German and Czech languages and a complete bibliography of prof. Ivo Krsek. The issue also includes Krsek's study from 1979 dealing with Franz Anton Maulbertsch's famous painting The Abduction (The Moravian Gallery in Brno) - published first in English translation. https://digilib.phil.muni.cz/en/node/77449
