sein du Centre allemand d’histoire de l’art (Paris) ouvre à la candidature

L’ambition

En partant de l’analyse de la notion de réel, à travers la diversité des
pratiques qui y font appel (performance, intégration d’objets dans les
œuvres, figuration etc…) et de ces multiples interprétations en France, RFA,
RDA, Pologne, le projet a pour ambition d’apprécier les partages, échanges,
malentendus, points communs de part et d’autre du rideau de fer. En
interrogeant une même notion, le projet vise à repérer les mises en rapport
possible entre des pratiques formelles distinctes, à questionner la
pertinence de certains rapprochements entre des pratiques formelles voisines
et à interroger les raisons de l’importance de cette notion durant les années
1960-1989. Dans ce cadre, il sera fondamental que les analyses envisagent les
imbrications des champs artistiques, culturels, théoriques, politiques et
idéologiques de l’époque. Les recherches menées sur le projet devront être
étroitement liées aux travaux de recherches des doctorants, afin que les
dépouillements, initiatives, réflexions profitent à la fois au projet et aux
recherches personnelles des étudiants.

Les postes

L’équipe sera constituée d’un post-doctorant (100%) en esthétique et de
quatre doctorants (50%), chacun spécialiste de l’une des scènes en jeu. Les
membres de l’équipe devront résider dans le pays qui fait l’objet de leur
recherche afin d’avoir facilement accès aux archives, bibliothèques, musées
nécessaires au travail.

Les postes sont établis pour une durée de 3 ans, éventuellement renouvelables
pour un maximum de 2 ans.

Ils seront soumis à une période d’essai de 6 mois.

Les candidats peuvent être de toute origine. Ils doivent être inscrits en
thèse de doctorat pour les doctorants et avoir soutenu leur thèse pour le
post-doctorant.

Il sera particulièrement apprécié qu’ils comprennent plusieurs des trois
langues du projet (français et/ou allemand et/ou polonais) afin de fonder
rigoureusement l’analyse des échanges entre les pays et de faciliter la
communication au sein de l’équipe.

Le dossier de candidature

Le dossier de candidature doit être constitué du projet de recherche
universitaire, précisant l’année de recherche dans laquelle l’étudiant se
situe, estimation du nombre d’années qu’il lui reste pour aboutir son
doctorat (4 pages max.), d’une lettre de motivation dans laquelle le candidat
présente la façon dont ce projet viendrait nourrir, compléter son propre
travail de recherche, un CV (4 pages max.), deux lettres de recommandations.

Stellenausschreibung für das Projekt ERC OWNREALITY, Deutsches Forum für
Kunstgeschichte / Centre allemand d’histoire de l’art (Paris) der Stiftung
Deutsche Geisteswissenschaftliche Institute im Ausland (DGIA)

Für das Projekt "Jedem seine Wirklichkeit. Der Begriff der Wirklichkeit in
der Bildenden Kunst in Frankreich, Polen, der BRD und DDR der 1960er bis Ende
der 1980er Jahre" unter der Leitung von Mathilde Arnoux (gefördert durch das
ERC Starting Grant Programm) sind im Deutschen Forum für Kunstgeschichte
folgende Stellen zu besetzen:

Zielsetzung

Ausgehend von einer Analyse des Begriffes der Wirklichkeit und der Vielfalt
jener Praktiken (Performance, Integrierung von Alltagsobjekten in Kunstwerke,
Mimesis etc.) und Interpretationen, die sich in der BRD, der DDR, in
Frankreich und Polen auf diesen Begriff bezogen haben, soll das Projekt die
Gemeinsamkeiten, den Austausch und allfällige Missverständnisse beiderseits
des Eisernen Vorhangs erforschen. Indem ein und derselbe Begriff in
verschiedenen Kontexten untersucht wird, soll den möglichen Zusammenhängen
zwischen verschiedenen künstlerischen Praktiken nachgegangen werden. Auf
diese Weise ist zu klären, inwieweit sich verwandt erscheinende künstlerische
Verfahren vergleichen lassen und aus welchen Gründen der Begriff der
Wirklichkeit in den Jahren 1960 bis 1989 eine außergewöhnliche Bedeutung
erlangte. Zu diesem Zweck sind insbesondere Verflechtungen von
künstlerischen, kulturellen, theoretischen, politischen und ideologischen
Fragen in den Blick zu nehmen. Die persönlichen Forschungen der Doktoranden
sollten in einem engen Bezug zum Thema des Projekts stehen, um
sicherzustellen, dass sich die Quellenerschließungen, Auswertungen und
Reflexionen im Rahmen des Projekts und die individuellen Studien der
Doktoranden wechselseitig befördern.

Die Stellen

Das Forschungsprojekt wird von einem Postdoktoranden (100%) im Fach Ästhetik
sowie von vier Doktoranden (50%) bearbeitet, deren Spezialisierung sich
jeweils mit einem der Forschungsbereiche des Projektes deckt. Von den
Projektmitarbeitern wird erwartet, dass sie in dem Land des jeweiligen
Projektbereiches ihren Wohnsitz nehmen, um leichter Zugang zu den für ihre
Arbeit erforderlichen Archiven, Bibliotheken und Museen zu haben.

Die Stellen sind auf die Dauer von 3 Jahren ausgerichtet, mit der Option auf
Verlängerung um max. 2 Jahre sowie einer Probezeit von 6 Monaten.

Bewerbungen von Doktoranden und Postdoktoranden aller Nationalitäten sind
willkommen, jedoch wäre die Beherrschung von mehreren Sprachen des Projektes
(deutsch und/oder französisch und/oder polnisch) für eine bessere
Kommunikation innerhalb der Forschungsgruppe und der Beförderung des
Forschungsaustausches zwischen den betroffenen Ländern von Vorteil. Die
Doktoranden sollten in einem Promotionsstudiengang eingeschrieben sein.

arbeitet, unter Angabe des Studienjahres sowie der noch benötigten Jahre bis

in dem der/die Kandidat/in darlegt, auf welche Weise sich das Projekt mit den

The project “To each his own reality. The notion of real in the plastic arts

the German centre for Art History in Paris invites application for

4 doctoral positions in art history

Objective

Starting with an analysis of the notion of real and through a variety of
forms that use the concept (e.g. performance art, integrating objects in art,
figuration, etc.) and from these multiple interpretations in France, West
Germany and East Germany and Poland, the project aims to create an
appreciation of sharing, exchanging as well as misunderstanding and points in
common on both sides of the iron curtain. By studying one concept, the
project aims to analyse the possible relationship between the distinct formal
practices, to question the relevance of certain similarities between
neighbouring formal practices and to ask why this notion was important
between 1960 and 1989. With this in mind, it will be important to analyse the
ways in which the artistic, cultural, theoretical, political and ideological
issues of the day fit together. The research on the project must be closely
linked to the work of doctoral candidates so that the findings, initiatives
and the reflections benefit both the project and the students’ personal
research.

The positions

The team will be comprised of a post-doctoral student in aesthetics (100%)
and four doctoral students (50%), each one a specialist in one of the areas
under study. The members of the team will need to live in the target country
of their research in order to facilitate access to the archives, libraries
and the museums that are vital to their work.

The positions are set for a duration of 3 years with the possibility of
renewing them for a maximum of 2 years.

Positions will be subject to a 6-month probationary period.

Candidates may be of any origin. They must be enrolled in a doctoral
programme and have defended their thesis for the post doctorate.

It will be particularly helpful if the candidate understood several languages
of the project (French and/or German and/or Polish) as this would contribute
to a rigorous analysis of the dialogue between the four countries and would
facilitate communication within the team.

The application must include the university research project indicating in
what the year the student is currently enrolled, an estimation of the number
of years required for finishing the doctorate (max. 4 pages), a cover letter
in which he explains how he intends to add to and complete his own research,
a CV (max. 4 pages) and two letters of recommendation.
