is advertising the post of

General Director of the National Gallery in Prague

Required qualifications:
- university degree
- overall familiarity with all periods of the history of art
(advantageous are educational and academic activities as well as
publications in this or related disciplines)
- basic knowledge of the legal system of the Czech Republic
- active knowledge of Czech and English (advantageous is the knowledge
of further languages)
- experience of working in a leading position for at least five years
(advantageous is the experience of leading a cultural institution)
- familiarity with the organisational principles of publicly
subsidised institutions
- managerial and organisational skills
- skills in communicating with the art-historical community as well as
the general public
- untarnished reputation

Notwendige Voraussetzungen:

- abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium
- Überblick über den Gesamtbereich des Fachs Kunstgeschichte
(pädagogische, publizistische und wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit im Fach
oder verwandten Bereichen vorteilhaft)
- Grundkenntnisse des Rechtssystems der Tschechischen Republik
- aktive Kenntnisse der tschechischen und englischen Sprache
(Kenntnisse weiterer Fremdsprachen vorteilhaft)
- mindestens 5jährige Praxis in leitender Funktion (Leitungspraxis in
einer kulturellen Einrichtung vorteilhaft)
- Kenntnis der grundlegenden Funktionsprinzipen staatlich finanzierter

- Qualitäten im Management und organisatorische Fähigkeiten
- Fähigkeit zur Kommunikation mit der Fachöffentlichkeit und den Medien
