£36,532 - £44,930 pa
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Art History whose research
interests lie in the area of Western art c. 1848 to the present day.
You should already have or be close to completing a PhD. You should be
able to provide evidence of your research abilities in the form of
publications and have a programme of on-going research that will be
suitable for inclusion in the School's submission to the next research
assessment exercise in 2013.
You will be expected to provide attractive, research-led upper-level
courses on aspects of Modern art not currently offered by the School.
In addition you will give large-group lectures in the second-year
survey modules, ?The History and Theory of European Art, Architecture
and Design 1800-1906' and ?The International Modern Movement
1905-1990', and will undertake tutorial teaching in these courses.
Working with postgraduates, both teaching classes and supervising
research, will also be a vital part of your role.
