Print Theory: An Anthology of Essays
Co-editors seek submissions for a collection of critical theory on
printmaking. Texts will address such issues as, how has the concept of
printmaking changed since its various inceptions? How are prints
defined by artists, curators, dealers, or audiences? Was/is there a
“modern” and/or “postmodern” print? Is it important to establish
printmaking as autonomous?
We seek both original essays and scholarship previously published but
not yet part of a seminal anthology on print theory. All time periods
and cultures considered.
Submissions must be double spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font and
utilize endnotes. Please include images. Recommended length: 4,000–
8,000 words.
Send brief abstract, complete essay, and CV to ferberillinois.edu by
May 30, 2009, tentative deadline for accepted final essays is October 16,
2009.
