Einführungskurs in die Arbeit in römischen Fotoarchiven
März 2009

Das Deutsche Archäologische Institut, Abteilung Rom, veranstaltet in der
Zeit vom 15.-21. März 2009 (Anreise- und Abreisetag) einen
Einführungskurs in das Arbeiten in den Fotoarchiven Roms. Der Kurs ist
für deutsch-, italienisch- und englischsprachige Studierende der
Klassischen Archäologie, der Prähistorie, der Baugeschichte und der
Kunst- und Kulturwissenschaften im höheren Fachsemester und
Examenskandidaten (Magistranden, Doktoranden) und jüngere
Wissenschaftler bestimmt.

Der Kurs soll den TeilnehmerInnen durch Besuch in römischen Fotoarchiven
einen Überblick über die jeweiligen Bestände vermitteln und ihnen
Vorgehensweisen aufzeigen, wie diese zu erschließen und zu nutzen sind.
Praktische Übungen betreffen das Recherchieren von Dokumenten in der
institutseigenen Fotothek.

Wir weisen ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass das Deutsche Archäologische
Institut keine professionelle Fortbildungseinrichtung ist und mit der
Veranstaltung des Kurses keinen kommerziellen Gewinn erzielt.

Die Zahl der Teilnehmer/innen muss aus organisatorischen Gründen auf 15
beschränkt bleiben. Die Bewerbungen mit Lebenslauf und
Motivationsschreiben sind bis zum 31. Januar 2009 zu richten an den

Introductionary Course on the Work in Roman Photo Archives

The German Archaeological Institute, Rome Department, is organizing a
course as an introduction to the work with photo archives in Rome from
March 15 - 21, 2009 (days of arrival and departure). The course is
intended for German, Italian and English speaking advanced students or
graduates of Classical Archaeology, Prehistory, Building Archaeology,
Art History and Cultural Studies, as well as for young scholars.

The course is designed to give participants an overview of the photo
collections in the Roman archives, introducing them to the relative
procedures of access and use. Different photo archives in Rome will be
visited. Tutorials will include searching documents in the Institute's
own photo archive.

We expressly point out that the German Archaeological Institute is not a
professional educational institution and that no commercial profit is
earned with this course.

The number of participants is limited to 15 due to organisational
reasons. Applications with CV and letter of motivation should be sent to

Corso introduttivo al lavoro negli archivi fotografici romani
Marzo 2009

L'Istituto Archeologico Germanico di Roma organizza dal 15 al 21 marzo
un corso introduttivo al lavoro di ricerca negli archivi fotografici
della città di Roma. Il corso è rivolto a studenti di archeologia
classica, preistoria, storia dell'architettura, storia dell'arte e
discipline umanistiche che siano già avanti nella carriera universitaria
(laureandi, laureati, dottorandi o giovani ricercatori). È richiesta
almeno una conoscenza di base dell'italiano nonché del tedesco e
dell'inglese.

Il corso intende fornire ai suoi partecipanti, attraverso visite in
diversi archivi fotografici romani, una panoramica sul patrimonio di
queste strutture nonché gli strumenti necessari per l'accesso e l'uso a
fini di studio del materiale in essi conservato. Il programma prevede, a
questo scopo, anche esercizi pratici per la ricerca dei materiali
nell'archivio fotografico dell'Istituto organizzatore.

Si sottolinea che l'Istituto Archeologico Germanico non è una struttura
di formazione professionale e dunque il corso non ha alcun intento
commerciale e il suddetto istituto non ne trarrà alcun profitto di
natura economica.

Il numero dei partecipanti è limitato a 15 persone per questioni di
carattere organizzativo. Le richieste, corredate di CV e lettera di
motivazione, va inviato all'organizzatrice del corso, Dott.ssa Sylvia
Diebner, entro il 31 gennaio 2008.
