I am looking for a commentator for a panel at the Southern American Studies
Association conference in February 12-14, 2009.

The topic is dealing with constructions of womanhood in the post-Civil War
South. I have three panelists from various disciplines who are presenting on
the topic, and we are preparing to submit our proposal in the next few
weeks. In the spirit of interdisciplinary learning, we would like to have
an art historian who can offer their own unique perspective on the papers
and panel topic.
