The Department of Art History and Theory at the University of Essex wishes
to appoint a new full-time Lecturer in Renaissance Art History and/or
Theory, to commence in the academic year 2008-9. Applicants must be able to
demonstrate a proven record of research and should have significant teaching
experience in one or more periods of Italian Renaissance and Baroque art and
architecture. The successful candidate will be expected to teach students at
both undergraduate and postgraduate level, supervise research students and
participate fully in administrative duties. Applicants must have a PhD in
Art History, or a related subject, or be in the final stages of completion.

Closing date: 31 March 2008

Salary: 33,779-40,335 pa
