Fulbright Grant Opportunities

U.S. Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program comprises approximately
forty distinguished lecturing, distinguished research and distinguished
lecturing/research awards ranging from three to 12 months. Awards in the
Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program are viewed as among the most
prestigious appointments in the Fulbright Scholar Program. Grants aware
awarded to eminent scholars who have a significant publication and
teaching record.

Distinguished Chairs enjoy the experience of a lifetime, one that
provides a broad cultural perspective on their academic disciplines and
connects them with colleagues at institutions across 18 countries.
While foreign language skills are needed in some countries, most
Fulbright lecturing assignments are in English.

Beginning with the 2009-10 Fulbright Scholar competition, the two-tiered
application process for the Distinguished Chairs Program will be merged
into a single application process. The new application deadline will be
August 1, 2008.

U.S. citizenship is required. Permanent resident status is not
sufficient.
