Western Art History in China

Fulbright-Luce Scholar grants provide the opportunity to learn
first-hand about the exciting contemporary art scene in China while
helping to build the field of Western art history in China.

Eligibility requirements:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have a Ph.D. in art history, and have at
least three years of university teaching experience in that field.
Note please that faculty with MFAs are not appropriate applicants for these
awards.

Specializations of interest include:
Graeco-Roman, Renaissance, Baroque, Impressionism, and modern and
contemporary American. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate
survey courses in Western art history and courses in their area of
specialization, grantees will assist host institutions in developing a
Western art history curriculum and program.
Teaching is in English. Grants are for five to ten-months and start in late
August for academic year grants and late August or mid-February for
five-month grants.
