Am Kunsthistorischen Institut in Florenz - Max-Planck-Institut ist ab 1.
Mai 2006 oder später die Stelle

einer Leiterin/eines Leiters der Photothek

neu zu besetzen.
Neben einer überdurchschnittlichen Promotion in Kunstgeschichte werden gute
Kenntnisse Italiens und Erfahrung in der Wissenschaftsorganisation wie im
Umgang mit digitalen Medien erwartet.
Die Bewerber(innen) werden gebeten, über die üblichen Unterlagen hinaus ein
Konzept vorzulegen, wie sie sich die Zukunft der Photothek und ihre Rolle im
Rahmen der Forschungsperspektiven des KHI vorstellen.

The Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence - Max-Planck-Institute invites
applications for the position of

Director of the Photo Library (Photothek)

which will become available from May 1, 2006.
In addition to an outstanding PhD in art history, applicants are expected to
fulfill the following requirements: they should have a good knowledge of
Italy, experience in dealing with administrative and academic organisation
as well as familiarity with digital media.
Candidates are requested, besides supplying the necessary documents, to
outline a long-term plan for the future of the "Photothek" and their
possible role within the research focuses of the KHI.
