Rainald Goetz's text explore the scope and potential of an intellectual
engagement with the sphere of the popular: To what extent does the
Anglo-American phenomenon 'pop' translate in contemporary German discourses
and practices? What kind of texts emerge at the interface of literature and
the multimedia world of popular culture? This one day symposium brings
together scholars from Germany and the US to discuss Goetz's work.
