£23,643 - £29,479 per annum pro rata (Starting salary unlikely to exceed
£23,643 per annum pro rata)
The Department of Humanities is seeking an enthusiastic individual with
expertise in twentieth-century and contemporary art history to contribute
to undergraduate teaching. You will teach students on the programme in
Art History & Visual Culture.
Possessing a postgraduate qualification in a relevant academic discipline
and having previous experience in teaching within higher or further
education you should possess highly developed skills in oral and written
communication. You must have the capacity to work as an effective team
member and the ability to manage your time effectively.
This post is a one year fixed term post that has arisen to replace a
member of staff who is on research leave from the institution. You would
be likely to take over delivery of the second-year modules 'Idea and
Image in 20th-Century Art' and 'Research Issues in Fine Art', and to
contribute to the first-year core modules 'An Introduction to Visual
Culture' and 'Representation and Beyond', as well as contributing to the
supervision of final-year dissertations in Art History & Visual Culture.
