McGill University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track
position in Art History at the rank of Assistant professor with
specialization in 18th century art and visual culture, beginning in August
2006.

The specialization is open to all geographical locations and media. The
successful candidate will be asked to teach and advise at the undergraduate
and graduate (MA and PhD) levels, and to conduct scholarly research.
Participation in normal committee work and other aspects of university life
is also required. Candidates must hold a completed PhD and have teaching
experience. Knowledge of French is an asset. Please send statements of

Assistant, associate, or full professor, tenure-track or tenured. Starting
September, 2006. Salary commensurate with experience. Seeking specialist in
European art, 1300-1600 (emphasis on Italy), with publications and teaching
experience, to participate in a vigorous undergraduate and graduate
curriculum, which includes lecture courses, seminars, and interdisciplinary
programs delivered to 200 undergraduate majors and 75 graduate students (18
graduate students are currently specializing in Italian Renaissance). The
position requires a commitment to research, teaching and the general
development of the program on all levels. Candidates must have the PhD,

Editorial Assistant of the International Medieval Bibliography (Part-Time,

This 0.5 fte post is available for a fixed term of one year from 15 October
2005 with the possibility of renewal. Working as a member of the editorial
team which produces the International Medieval Bibliography, you will be
responsible for the cataloguing of articles in periodicals relevant to
Medieval Studies, proof-reading of edited data, and general editorial
duties.

You will have a Humanities degree with a significant medieval component, and
ideally hold an MA degree or equivalent in History, Modern Languages, or
another subject relevant to the work of the IMB. You should also have a good
working knowledge of modern European languages in addition to English.
