The next deadline for submitting a letter of inquiry for the Terra Foundation’s Academic Grant Program is March 15, 2012.

A letter of inquiry is a necessary first step in the grant-application process; formal proposals are accepted only by invitation of the Terra Foundation after its review. For more information on the letter of inquiry and how to apply for a grant, please visit terraamericanart.org/grants/deadlines.

Funding is available for symposia and colloquia on historical American art that take place in Chicago or outside the United States; or in the United States that examine American art within an international context and/or include a significant number of international participants.
