Reed College announces the following one-year visiting position for
historian of late Medieval, Renaissance, or Baroque Art
REED COLLEGE. One-year appointment. Start fall 2005. Salary and benefits
competitive. Ph.D. or near completion. Specialty in an area of late
medieval, Renaissance, or Baroque art or architecture.
The appointment entails
1) teaching introductory and advanced courses in area of specialization;
2) advising undergraduate art history theses;
and 3) participating in a staff-taught interdisciplinary Humanities course
on Renaissance and early modern European culture. Reed College is a small,
highly selective undergraduate institution with a strong liberal arts
curriculum and an emphasis on excellence in teaching and scholarship.
