Grant competition, Malevich Society

The Malevich Society

Dear Colleagues,

The Malevich Society is pleased to announce its first grant competition.

The Malevich Society is a newly established American not-for-profit
organization dedicated to advancing knowledge about the Russian artist
Kazimir Malevich and his work.

In the belief that Malevich was a pioneer of modern art and should be better
recognized for his key contributions to the history of Modernism, the
Malevich Society awards grants to encourage research, writing, and other
activities relating to the history and memory of Kazimir Malevich.

The Society welcomes in particular applications from outstanding scholars of
any nationality proposing projects that increase the understanding of
Malevich and his work, or that augment historical, biographical and artistic
information about Malevich and/or his artistic legacy.

Application forms and instructions can be requested by telephone at
1-718-980-1805, by e-mail at malevichsocietyhotmail.com, or can be
downloaded from the web-site www.malevichsociety.org

Deadline: September 30, 2002
