For the 80th anniversary of Paul Perdrizet's death, the University of Lorraine organises an international symposium on the life and work of the renowned archaeologist and art historian.
All the different aspects of his biography will be discussed, from his early epigraphical and archaeological research in Greece, Macedonia and Cyprus, in the 1890's, to his Late Medieval Studies on the cult of saints in the 1930's, his works on greco-roman Egypt, but also his notable role in local politics and industry in Nancy and Strasburg.
The congress will be the occasion to discuss some of Perdrizet unpublished research, with new material coming from his personal and scientific archives kept in the University of Lorraine.

For more information and the full text of the call for papers, please visit the symposium's internet site : http://perdrizet.sciencesconf.org.

The deadline for submitting a proposal (2000 characters max) for a 30 min paper, in French or English, is April 30th.
