INTIMATERIAL

Call for submissions:
of academic papers/artist presentations/performance/readings that concern intensely intimate encounters through or with specific material things for an exhibition and conference at the Royal College of Art, 15-16 June 2017

Intimaterial is a transdisciplinary event that mingles the amorous and the clinical, the sexual and the industrial, the textual and the bestial, to expose contemporary possibilities and dilemmas of material intimacy.

With keynote presentations from:

- Keston Sutherland, poet and critical theorist.

- David Carpenter, Chief ocularist at the Ocular Prosthetics department at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

- Gestalta Judd, artist who works with Shibari - the art of Japanese rope bondage.

- 4th keynote TBC

Non-keynote presentations have a time limit of 20 minutes each.
