Polish conservators of monuments and works of art outside Poland – research, conservation, documentation, education.

The editorial board of Ochrona Zabytków invites you to submit academic articles for issue no. 2/2026, which will focus on the work of Polish conservators of monuments and works of art outside Poland. The aim of this issue is to present the achievements, experiences, methodologies and latest research results related to the protection of the world’s most valuable historical complexes, in which specialists from Poland have played a significant role.

Topics
You are invited to submit texts on the following topics:

- research on techniques, technologies and materials, as well as historical research related to monuments and works of art located outside Poland;
- implementation and execution of conservation projects by Polish teams across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East;
conservation, architectural, archaeological and digital documentation;
- educational programmes, internships, cooperation between international teams and promotional activities related to Polish conservation abroad;
- case studies on the most significant and challenging historic monuments and complexes on a global scale;
ethics, management, institutional cooperation and logistical challenges in international conservation projects.

Addressees
Submissions are invited primarily from conservators of monuments and works of art, architects, art historians and archaeologists, specialists in documentation, technical constructions and technology, employees of museums, research institutes and universities, as well as participants and coordinators of conservation projects carried out outside Poland.

Deadline for submission of articles: 31 May 2026
