The Fundación Gondra Barandiarán and the Museo del Prado are jointly offering two fellowships for researchers working on any aspect of art history related to the collections of the Museo del Prado.

Two fellowships will be awarded: a senior one for researchers over 40 years of age and a junior one for researchers under this age.

Financial endowment and duration:
The fellowships are funded by the Fundación Gondra Barandiarán and will last for three months each. The fellows will carry out their research at the Museum's Centro de Estudios in the Casón del Buen Retiro.

The senior fellowship is endowed with €12,000 (€4,000 per month) for three months.
The junior fellowship is endowed with €9,000 (€3,000 per month) for three months.

Requirements:
Senior: Over 40 years of age, with a PhD in History of Art or related Humanities disciplines.
Junior: Under 40 years of age, with a doctorate in History of Art or related Humanities disciplines.

Foreign applicants must demonstrate spoken and written proficiency in Spanish.
Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation (one from an academic and one from a museum professional) endorsing them for this call for applications.

- Deadline for applications open until 25 October inclusive.
