Das Kolloquium Designgeschichte ist eine Plattform für Personen, die auf dem Gebiet Designgeschichte promovieren oder promovieren möchten. Diese Ausgabe des Kolloquiums wird in Kooperation mit der Gesellschaft für Designgeschichte (GfDg) und Prof. Dr. Dagmar Rinker, Designhistorikerin an der HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd, veranstaltet. Die hybride Veranstaltung findet am Freitag, den 24. November 2023 von 10 bis 14 Uhr statt. Das Kolloquium bietet Raum für Austausch, Vernetzung und die gegenseitige Unterstützung junger Forscher:innen auf dem Gebiet Designgeschichte.

Wir laden Promovierende und promotionsinteressierte Personen dazu ein, ihre Themen, Fragen und Works-in-Progress im Rahmen des Kolloquiums in einem 15-minütigen Impuls mit anschließender Diskussion vorzustellen. Der niederschwellige Austausch unter Personen mit ähnlichen Forschungsschwerpunkten steht im Vordergrund, weshalb die Plattform für Einreichungen aus allen Stadien des Promovierens offen ist – ob Themen- oder Verlagssuche. Ebenso freuen wir uns auf Gespräche mit den Studierenden des Masterstudiengangs „Strategische Gestaltung“ der HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Call for Papers: Colloquium Design History

The Colloquium Design History is a platform for people who are doing a PhD or would like to do a PhD in the field of design history. This edition of the event is organised in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für Designgeschichte (GfDg) and Prof. Dr. Dagmar Rinker, design historian at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd. The hybrid event will take place on Friday, 24 October 2023 from 10 am - 2 pm. The colloquium offers space for exchange, networking and mutual support for young researchers in the field of design history.

We invite doctoral candidates and those interested in doing a doctorate to present their topics, questions and works-in-progress during the colloquium in a 15-minute talk followed by a discussion. The focus is on low-threshold exchange among people with similar research interests, which is why the platform is open to submissions from all stages of the doctoral process – whether looking for a topic or a publisher. We are also looking forward to discussions with the students of the Master's program "Strategic Design" at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd.
