This conference will focus on two research questions. One key

the creative economy. The other key theme of the workshop will
be the development of creative economies in different
geographical context in Europe, with special focus on Central
Europe. The range of papers should therefore cover both
theoretical perspectives and practical examples of the issues
and challenges faced by researchers in trying to understand the
connections and interrelations between cultural heritage
(historical buildings, local festival and traditional events)
and the creative economy, and perspectives and issues on
creative regions in central Europe more generally.
All interested scholars, PhD students and practitioners are
invited to submit, by email, a paper proposal (abstract) of
around 1,000 words by no later than the 25th of June 2010 to
the Research Network's organisers at:
Creativeregions.networkgmail.com
Abstracts must include full contact details. You should also
specify if you are submitting to present at the PhD and Young
Researchers Workshop or at the seminar. Applicants will be
contacted by the 15th of July 2010 about their submission.
Participation to the Research Network Seminar over the two days
(20-21 October 2010) is subject to a small fee of 50.00 Euros
to cover organisation and catering expenses, including the
conference dinner on the evening of the 20th of October.
A limited number of bursaries are available to assist with
travel expenses. Financial support must be requested at the
time of the abstract's submission or anyhow before the 25th
