ART AND ARCHITECTURAL HISTORY

Denison University - East Asian Art History - Visiting Assistant
Professor (OH, United States)

One-year, non-continuing full time position at a selective liberal arts
college. Specialization in the art history, visual culture, material
culture or built environment of China, Japan or Korea. Theoretical
issues are of interest. Ph.D. preferred, 3/3 teaching load. Include
letter of application, c.v., three letters of recommendation, writing
sample and syllabi. Review of applications will begin immediately and
continue until the position is filled.

Duke University - HBCU Faculty Fellowships in the Humanties, Arts, and
Interpretive Social Sciences (NC, United States)

Duke University’s John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute announces a
new fellowship program for faculty in the humanities, arts, and
interpretive social sciences at Historically Black Colleges and
Universities. The program is made possible by a major grant from the
A.W. Mellon Foundation.
Two fellowships will be offered in each of the three years of the
program. Fellows will be provided with a stipend, health insurance, a
fully equipped office, library access at Duke and other Research
Triangle campuses, and a small pool of research/travel funds.

MEDIA STUDIES

Sabanci University, Istanbul - Full-time Faculty Position in Visual
Studies (Turkey)

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Sabancý University invites
applications from scholars in early or mid-career, holding a PhD in
Media Studies, Visual Studies, Film Studies or a comparable field.
Candidates should have a strong grounding in theories of visual culture,
an interdisciplinary perspective on the aesthetics and cultural contexts
of visual texts, and university level teaching experience. They must be
able to teach general introductory courses on visual culture as well as
more specialized upper level courses, possibly encompassing the evolving
new media.
