Mapping Sculpture 1851 - 1951

You will carry out a programme of planned and prioritized research
defined by the Project Director to meet project aims. You will be
part of a team of six researchers based respectively in London,
Central England, North of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. You
will work on specified cities within their designated region looking
in detail at sculptural activity, associated businesses, trades and
art infrastructures. The aim of the research team is to work
collaboratively and incrementally to investigate the practice and
profession of sculpture across Britain and Ireland between 1851-1951.
You will contribute to the project outputs through research data
entered into the project database which will be made publicly
available on the GU website and by delivering a research paper at
project seminar.
Mapping Sculpture 1851-1951 is a partnership venture between the
University of Glasgow, the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Henry
Moore Institute.
